New for 2025, the H&K VP9A1 is the latest iteration of the world famous VP9 handgun series, retaining all of the features shooters have grown to love and adding a full complement of upgrades. One of the most notable improvements is upgraded ergonomics with a set of four replaceable backstraps. This includes the S and M backstraps that change the circumference of the palmswell as well as two additional backstraps that can be used to adjust the distance from the trigger to the back of the grip. The VP9A1 also comes with interchangeable side panels, and when combined with the backstraps, the user can create dozens of grip configurations.
In addition to improved ergonomics, the VP9A1 also offers upgraded controls with new user friendly features. The trigger is enhanced with a nickel-teflon coating for a smoother pull and a cleaner break. The slide has been optimized with a pair of front and rear maritime serrations for an enlarged gripping area. Additionally, the VP9A1’s upgrades are rounded out with a factory-flared magazine well for faster reloads and a recess cut on the magazine for easier removal and retention.
