The Safariland Model Species, is an ultra-compact, passive retention IWB (inside-the-waistband) thermoformed holster. The Species design features dual material Safarilaminate construction that combines the rugged, durable, and impact-resistant outer shell with the suede lined laminated interior to simultaneously optimize fit while enhancing protection of the guns surface finish. Firearm retention inside the holster is assisted by the integrated and adjustable passive retention and tension device design features. Holstering is easy and the user will feel and hear an audible click when the firearm is properly seated into the holster. While the passive trigger guard retention helps secure the firearm in the holster during normal wear and activity, drawing the firearm is smooth and natural with a fully accessible grip in a typical drawing motion. The holsters ultra-compact design, along with a rotationally cantabile and vertically adjustable belt clip should allow for a comfortable fit and strong side wear or appendix carry location on any body type.
