For tactical activity in the dark, the Streamlight TLR-8 Compact LED Weaponlight combines a 500-lumen, single-output LED light with a Class 3R 660nm red aiming laser that can be mounted on most duty, backup, and compact EDC pistol models.

The light is outfitted with a factory-focused Total Internal Reflection (TIR) lens that produces a beam with a tight center cone of bright light and a dimmer ring on the periphery to help maintain situational awareness. The laser can be boresighted to the pistol for accurate aiming, and a disorientating strobe function can be enabled by the user if they need access to that feature.An ambidextrous switch system controls the momentary and constant-on activation, plus the three different modes, and is easily accessible with your support hand while keeping a firm grip on your weapon.

Designed with a highly compact form factor that keeps light at or above the trigger guard without projecting past the muzzle, the TLR-8 fits most regular and compact pistols' Universal and Picatinny/Weaver rails and comes with an integrated self-centering adjustable mount and a set of inserts to fit popular models from a variety of manufacturers. Its lightweight aluminum housing is anodized with a matte-black finish to make it abrasion resistant. It is so compact that it will fit holsters not much bigger than non-weaponlight holsters, making it fit better on duty belts and more comfortable for concealed carry.
